To Weddings and Back
Just got back from my sister's wedding today. I don't have anything NEW to post, but I figured I might as well post some more "older" stuff. Oh, but before we get to that, I've been told by a couple people that they're having troubles following my blog. I'll be working on getting an actual follow button as well as a better link to my e-mail sometime next week after I've recovered from travelling. ... I'll also be setting up a twitter I guess. I'm really not sure how much I'll use twitter, since I'm not the most social person in the world, but I'll try and at least put important artsy fartsy updates up.
One of hundreds of doodles I... doodled during lectures. This one is one of my favorites. I'm thinking of cleaning it up and adding color to it, but have yet to do so.
Don't you hate days like this? When your red pen explodes all over your new white shirt/suit? I sure do.
I believe I mentioned in my previous post that I'm a Left 4 Dead fan. Well... here's more Left4Dead goodness. Normally I'd try to give it at least SOME kind of background, but I was feeling lazy at the time so I took some liberties and played with photoshop filters instead to see what kind of SNAZZY CHEAP THINGS I could do. This was done in a livestream along with the last piece in this post. (done in the same livestream)
I should probably crop this, but I'm feeling lazy. The reason for the blank space beside her is there was more to this image, and I have yet to sit down and do the rest. I was playing with a flat, lineless style on this one. I still plan on finishing the rest of this, buuuuut for now, it sits. Every now and then I like experimenting with different coloring/painting styles that I normally wouldn't use just to broaden my horizons. You'll actually be seeing a -lot- of "trying something new" things on this blog.
This was giftart for a really good friend of mine. Not the kind of character I usually find myself drawing, but I had fun with her regardless. This is the other piece I did in a livestream. My livestreams usually happen on Saturday evenings, and I'll be posting on here when they happen from now on. (For this one I had actually posted composition layouts of ten pieces on my dA gallery and had people vote on which composition looked the most interesting, and this was the piece people voted on. They had no idea what it was ahead of time, so it was totally luck of the draw that it ended up being giftart for my friend.)
Hmm.... not much else to report now, besides the fact that I now have a brother-in-law and I'm also now all graduated from SCAD. I'll be posting more regularly maybe probably now that I'm back and am not in school any longer.
